Microfluidic sperm preparation

A gentler path to
better selection

Micro Ferta is a simple, single-use microfiltration device for the rapid preparation of motile sperm—designed for ICSI, IVF and IUI workflows.

For professional use only

The idea is beautifully simple

Let the strongest swimmers lead the way

Micro Ferta uses a carefully designed microfluidic path to support the separation of motile sperm, with an intuitive workflow and no centrifugation step.

DNA integrity

A gentler route to lower fragmentation

Published split-sample research found a higher median DNA fragmentation index after density-gradient centrifugation with swim-up than after microfluidic sorting.

6%median DFI · IQR 3–11.5%

Density-gradient centrifugation + swim-up

0%median DFI · IQR 0–2.4%

Microfluidic sorting

Published comparative evidence (n=70); values are study medians, not Micro Ferta-specific performance data. Results vary across methods and patient populations, and lower DFI has not yet been shown consistently to improve live-birth outcomes. View study ↗

How to use Micro Ferta

A precise workflow, made simple

  1. 1
    Aspirate

Slowly aspirate 850 µL of liquefied semen sample with a 1 mL syringe.

  2. 2
    Load

Hold the syringe at 90° and inject slowly through the clearly marked inlet.

  3. 3
    Prime & add medium

Prime the outlet with approximately 50 µL, then add the remaining culture medium over the membrane.

  4. 4
    Incubate

Keep the device level and undisturbed at 37 °C for 30 minutes.

  5. 5
    Collect

Withdraw up to 500 µL of the separated fraction from the outlet port.

Always follow the current Instructions for Use supplied with the product.
